SimCity is a city-building and management simulation game for the PC gaming platform that serves as a 2013 reboot of the iconic video game series. If you get an error select Yes. 7. Replace Your Hosts file with the one Provided in the Extras Folder. You can find your hosts file in C:WindowsSystem32Driversetc 8. Install Origin from the extra folder and when it's finished installing run the start.exe file in the main SIMCITY folder. 9. Click on Start Server and wait for the message to show you that "everything sounds fine" 10. Start Origin that you just installed with any username and password you want. 11. Click on My Games, select SimCity and click on Download in the yellow/orange box. 12. From here on it's easy, wait for it to download and then click Play.

have same prolem as Mozzy123 at 2013-09-06 16:59 CET: Everything worked great. Until the world im playing on just closes... doesnt even save with me have save, but cant load it...so basically its not working either anybody have solution?

Does anyone else have this problem? I cannot abandon cities or regions, and occasionally the game will kick me off. Also, even though it isn't when I load the game, they always list my cities as having 50k in the bank and a bit over 9000 in population.

Nvm, patching to 1.6 fixed the abandoning cities issue, but now the remaining cities are all listed as 0 in population and any volunteered services do not appear in the region screen.

For all those who are still not able to install please note these simple steps. 1. Make a Folder - C:/Program 2. Make a Folder - C:/Program/SIMCITY 3. Copy contents of this torrent except the folder : SimCity DRMLESS Beta Update 1.5 into C:/Program/SIMCITY 4. Copy the Contents of the folder SimCity DRMLESS Beta Update 1.5 into C:/Program/SIMCITY - It will as to over-write please do so. 5. Open the Command Line (Start-CMD-Right-Click - Run as Administrator) 6. Type Net Stop HTTP (to Release the PORT 80 as many might be using a router/have run WAMP/other servers on their system) 7. Install Origin 8. Run the program start.exe from C:/Program/SIMCITY and allow firewall access 9. Install Certificate 10. Click Check Components and you will get the message Everything Sounds Good 11. Open Origin and you should not be able to download the game which takes about 5 mins and when you play the game it will do some more updates.. and your good to go.. the important thing to remember is that all the ports should be bounded in the SIMCITY DRM Server, else its not gonna connect.

The instructions are incomplete, you're going to run into some issues. Two issues that I ran into was 1). Dummy certificate not installed (Fixed by disabling read-only on SIMCITY folder) 2.). "You need to be online to log into origin" (Fixed by uninstall and reinstall origin, make sure to uncheck the AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE ORIGIN box during setup)

For anyone like me spending hours trying to fix the tampered problem, all I had to do was update to the 1.6 patch and it fixed the problem for me.
